About Our Farm
Lydiard Turkeys and pop-up farm shop is run by Chris and Lindsay Rumming on the family farm near Swindon. We are passionate about high animal welfare, great tasting meat and nature friendly farming and do everything we can to be as sustainable as possible.
The Farm is home to approximately 100 mixed breed beef cattle, 50 rare breed Oxford Down sheep and for 6 months of the year 500 free range Bronze turkeys for Christmas. Our beef is certified with the Pasture for Life Association as being 100% grass fed. The Oxford Down sheep are kept to produce Lamb, Hogget, Mutton, Wool and breeding stock.
All of our products are available to buy seasonally on the online shop and can be collected from one of our pop-up farm shops which are held at Park Farm, Hook Street, Swindon, SN5 3NY once a month.

Have used lydiard Turkey farms every Christmas for our Turkey which is well looked after ,fed and cared for very well and pick up is very slick, I also attend the pop up shop most months the quality of meat is superb,and along side local sourced bread, cakes , eggs, cheese, vegetables, chutneys etc and Chris the farmer in hand with helpful tips, love it
We’ve had mutton and beef from the lovely pop up farm shop and it was amazing.
We will be buying more at the first opportunity. Farm to plate can’t beat it.
Our go to Farm shop with their own quality beef and a variety of other meat products. Fresh vegetables and in season apples from their own orchard. Turkeys raised on the farm are a firm favourite. We go for a crown and as ever last Christmas it was excellent.
My favourite farm shop in Wiltshire! Huge selection of superb products. Andy and his family always provide exceptional service with smile on their faces.
Local and seasonal
Fantastic to have all these local products available direct from the farmers. Love the beef from Andy Rumming. Everyone involved is really friendly and helpful. The pop up shop in Lidiard has grown and developed over the years to include so many more products.
Look, I’m a vegetarian on principle but also texture and flavour preferences, but my OH a confirmed meat-eater, and then there is the ‘Christmas’ dilemma and parents to think of! But Chris and Andy are absolutely passionate about animal wellbeing and also welfare, nature, and quality produce, sourced locally. Park farm represents the best of British farming. They are Pasture For Life accredited. If all farming was done this way the world would be a better place.
I’ve been using the pop up shop at Park Farm for several years now. Always a friendly greeting and superb produce. The beef falls apart in your mouth and the curry made with the mutton is the best.
Lovely selection of local produce. Great quality meat. Fantastic option to buy direct from the farmer if you live in or near Swindon.

We had pork chops which were the best we’ve ever had and sausages that were just amazing. It was our first trip to Lydiard Turkey’s we will definitely be going next time they have a pop-up.

Brilliant place for beef mutton Lardy cake and loads of other top quality local foods. Serve by lovely family. Well worth a visit for local quality.

Their turkeys at Christmas are on another level to anything you will buy at a supermarket!
You can taste the love that Lindsay puts into her lamb! It’s absolutely fabulous!
The farm shop stocks things you didn’t know you needed until you bought them.
They have a selection of veg, condiments, breads, lardy cakes, eggs and meats from their farm and local producers
They even sell wool to knit with from their own flock!

What a fabulous proper farm shop – you know what you’re getting, you know it’s local and good quality produce . We have also have a turkey the last few years and absolute delicious – the best.
We’ve been visiting this delightful farm shop for a number of years. All the produce is amazing and they’re always in hand for advice.
Love this farm shop right on our doorstep. The vegetables , fresh bread and meat are excellent. I shall definitely be ordering my turkey from them this year.
The quality of produce is incredible. We’ve tried most things – eggs, beef, sausages, lamb, veg.
You can absolutely taste the difference in the dishes (our favourite being beef brisket in red wine sauce and lamb stew)
I would (and do) recommend to everyone to pop along to the shop and try it!
Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable there is such a lovely atmosphere at the pop up shop.

I regularly buy beef from The pop up shop, my family insist it is the highest quality beef and a firm favourite, fantastic turkey at Christmas, in fact everything I have bought from the pop up shop is of the same standard!
We often enjoy a visit to our local farm shop, we particularly enjoy the local beef, the crisps and the vegetables and of course the Turkeys are Christmas. Lindsay’s Lamb really is a treat if can get your hands on a lamb burger.
