Bowles Burderop Beef is a family-run farm business based at Hodson and Parsonage Farms, near Swindon, in the North Wessex Downs. Our herd is centred on pedigree Dexter cattle—a small, hardy native breed renowned for producing exceptionally rich and flavoursome beef.

Our cattle are extensively reared, 100% grass-fed and pasture-finished. They are slow-grown across our permanent pasture using regenerative grazing methods that put animal welfare, healthy soils and the long-term care of the countryside first. We believe in quality over quantity: no intensive finishing and no unnecessary shortcuts.

We sell our beef directly to local customers as carefully prepared beef boxes, dry-aged steaks and joints, mince, burgers and sausages, alongside speciality products including biltong, droëwors, beef tallow and long-aged butcher’s cuts.

Everything we produce can be traced back to our own herd and the fields around Hodson. It is honest, local beef made with patience and a deep respect for the animals and land that produce it.
