Some farms sell eggs directly to the public through their own farm shop, egg vending machines, or local delivery rounds, making it easy to enjoy fresh eggs every day. Often small producers will sell fresh eggs through a simple stall at the farm gate, with payment via an honesty box. You will also find many producers in regular attendance at local markets.

For both eggs and poultry meat, there is a wide choice available to buy direct from farms. Not only different types of bird but different production systems too – such as organic, free-range, or pasture-raised birds.
